The grand opening was - Grand :)
All the teams marsched in to their national anthems, waving flags and appluades! The teams all have matching shirts or jackets. The UK and danish team went a step longer with union jack and dannebrogen dogs vests.
The judges Karen Sykes (head judge), Marleen van Hees and Carina Envoldsen, were presented. And this was followed by an enthusiastic opening speech by the President of the FCI Obedience Commission Mr Johann Kurzbauer. Mr Kurzbauer said he was very happy to be able to open the first HTM WC but sorry that it came 40 years to late for him to compete. He also stressed how nice it was to see handler and dogs working together in happiness.
